Biscuits

Recipe for biscuits:

Biscuit mix:

10 cups flour
1-2/3 cups instant nonfat dry milk
1/3 cup baking powder

 2-1/2 tsp. salt
 1-2/3 cups shortening

Mix dry ingredients thoroughly in a large container. Cut in shortening
until fine crumbs are obtained. Store tightly covered, in refrigerator.
Use within 3 months.

3 cups baking mix, 2 tablespoons butter and 2/3 - 1 cup milk.  Cut butter into baking mix, add in milk and mix until it forms a sticky ball, not too wet or too dry.  Place on cutting board that is floured (I use a little of the baking mix) and pat flat, I really don't roll out the dough just shape it with my hands.  Cut out biscuits and cook at 450 degrees for about 12 - 15 minutes.  I like to brush a little melted butter on top, helps them to brown and makes the taste really good!  Hope you enjoy!
